so we made it
the drive was everything i thought it would be. if we thought southern illinois was bad, that state has nothing on kansas. i had never been to kansas before this trip, but now i feel like i've spent a few years of my life there :). after kansas it was just another couple hours into denver, where we sat in some lovely rush hour traffic (and no, they have NOTHING on atlanta as far as traffic goes) and then finally made it into boulder. once in boulder, we went straight to my sister's place and got the number for our landlord and headed over to get the keys. so we're here and eric starts work tomorrow, but the moving truck doesn't get here until the middle of next week.
so we have
1. an air mattress
2. three cats
3. about 4 days worth of clothes
4. a washer and dryer
5. a chair. just one.
it's stressful, but we've been spending a lot of time at andrew and heather's place, so at least we can sit on something.
other than our lack of stuff, so far the house is great. we wake up to beautiful colorado sun every morning and it's not annoying, it's rather pleasant.
we have more pictures to post, but my cable for uploading the pictures is, of course, packed away with all of our stuff. we'll post more when our things get here.
good luck to eric, who starts his new job tomorrow.
